It’s been a busy Easter week with company, revisions, and good news. First, my sister-in-law Kieran Kramer’s third Regency-set historical romance was released on Wednesday, April 26.
Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage is the third book in her Impossible Bachelors series published by St. Martin’s Press. I am so proud of her and know this book will do well. So far, it’s my favorite. Of course I’ve said that about her other two books When Harry Met Molly and Princes to the Left of Me, Dukes to the Right. But I really mean it this time–Cloudy is my favorite. Although, I do love the pink cover of her next book If You Give a Girl a Viscount (release date Nov. 11, 2011).
The other big news, which I’m both humbled and grateful for, is that my newest manuscript Juliet’s Rogue is not just a current Golden Heart Finalist and a Marlene Finalist, but was just chosen as a 2011 Daphne Du Maurier finalist in the Single Title category.
The Daphne is presented by RWA’s Mystery/Suspense chapter, otherwise known as the Kiss of Death. But the best part is that the awards will be announced at their annual Death By Chocolate Party in New York City on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Chocolate, champagne, and a new dress. A girl can’t ask for much more than that–other than a request for a full. 🙂
Tomorrow Kieran and I are off to the annual Washington, DC Romance Writers chapter retreat in Leesburg, VA. But first we’re headed to Kieran’s first book signing at Nora Roberts’ Turn the Page bookstore in Boonsboro, MD. It’s going to be a great weekend. Even if it’s still raining.
