
In a small bowl, stir together all of the seasoning mix ingredients. Store in a 1-pint mason jar with an airtight side (will keep for 6 months)
Brown the meat in a skillet and drain the fat. Stir in 3 Tablespoons of the seasoning mix, tomato sauce, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and keep cooking until meat mixture thickens. Serve on rolls.
If you like your sloppy joes spicier, add the red pepper flakes.
This seasoning mix can also be doubled or tripled, but it can only be stored for 6 months.
This meat reheats well and makes great leftovers, but it does not freeze well.
