Winter Simmer Pot

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 large orange thinly sliced
  • 3 sprigs fresh pine
  • 1 large apple thinly sliced
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon whole cloves
  • 4 whole star anise
  • 4 sprigs fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add 2 cups of water (or at least 5 inches). Place the pot on the stove and bring to simmer.

  2. Stir in all the ingredients. Allow the pot to simmer for 6 hours, making sure to refill the water whenever necessary.

  3. SAFETY CONCERN: Never leave the simmer pot unattended or allow the water to evaporate completely while on the hot stove.
