This Deadly Force novella takes place a week after In Search of Truth (book 3) ends. It’s the story of Zack and Allison’s wedding… which almost doesn’t happen. The events in this novella spill over into the A Promise at Midnight (book 5) and All the Hearts Surrendered (book 6), both of which I’m writing now.
That’s the problem with working on an interconnected series with so many side characters and stories, and writing the larger novels for a traditional publisher and indie publishing the shorter stories: I’ve written this series out of order. I just hope that you’ll be as patient with me as I have to be with the characters in this large and unruly series.
