In a few days, I will say goodbye to Mending Hearts, an enemies-to-lovers collection that includes a new novella in my Kingsmill Courtships series, Her Reckless Outlaw. It leaves on September 30th, although the paperback may linger due to Amazon distribution rules. I really loved being a part of this anthology and I am sad that the run is ending. Especially because I loved writing Her Reckless Outlaw, the first book in a 3-book arc for Damian Fawkes.
Damian has been one of the primary antagonists in this series. As the illegitimate son of Isaiah Mosby, and the half-brother of the six Mosby brothers that this series is about, Damian has a LOT of emotional baggage. He’s also the president of the local outlaw motorcycle club, The Devil’s Renegades, and has a history of very bad behavior. So this redemption story will take three books to finish because his heroine, Tess Rutledge, is not letting him off easy. And if you read Her Reckless Outlaw, and are interested in reading Damian’s next book–The Last Outlaw–it will be available in Vol. 4 of Heroes, Holidays, and Hope. This charity anthology comes out December 6, 2026 and supports The Warrior Dog Foundation.
