Today begins the first of three Ember Days known as the Winter Embertide. It’s a time of waiting, reflecting, and giving thanks. It’s also a time of preparation for the joyous season ahead. And it comes with its own onion tart!
It’s time to update my unofficial list of my favorite made-for-TV Christmas movies that make us laugh, cry, and thank the season for all of these wonderful (even if cheesy) Happily Ever Afters.
Now that Advent is here, It’s time to choose my Advent book. And this year, I’m reading The True Saint Nicholas: Why He Matters to Christmas. So far, it’s great!
Although I love Christmas, and go all out in decorating, there used to be a time when few people decorated before Advent–those four dark weeks before Christmas.
Rough Draft November is almost over, and it’s time for a final check-in. But regardless if you hit your goal or not, all that matters in the long run is how you feel about your stories and your writing path forward. All that matters is that, as a writer, you know you’re not alone!
