Holiday movies are a touchy subject in my house. We all have a variety of favorite movies that we love and dislike, but few that we all agree on. In an effort to come to a compromise before the kids come home from college, I’m making a list of family movies I know we can all watch.

But there’s a caveat…this list does not include made-for-TV holiday movies (Hallmark, Netflix, UPtv, etc). This list is just movies made specifically for the movie-going audience. TV movies are worth another blog post. 🙂

Now on to the list of movies that I know we ALL will enjoy, from my 3-month old niece to grandparents in their eighties. I’ve included the trailers for each movie. For a full description, including ratings, click here for the IMDB website. For a more detailed synopsis, including warnings about farting horses, potty jokes, and questionable family-friendly language, click here for the Dove Family Foundation website. (I’m not posting the individual reviews due to copyright issues)

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.
